As part of our research, respondents shared educational resources or community groups that they found helpful for themselves and their families. The goal of this page is to create a database of community-based and educational resources for first responder families to access across Canada. If you have a resource that you would like to add to this list, please contact us.
It is important to note that not every resource will be helpful for every person. Please also consult your Employee Assistance Program and/or Employee Family Assistance Program(s) (if applicable) to access additional resources.
A printable version of this list is available at the bottom of the page. This document will be regularly updated based on resource referrals from first responders and their families.
Includes peer supports, family supports, social awareness campaigns, mental health information and resources at the local, provincial, and national levels.
Includes educational initiatives, training, workshops, and reading materials designed to increase knowledge and understanding, and support individual skill development.
